I love the flexibility of these activities in my K–2 special education classroom. I usually laminate them on cardstock and keep them organized for quick access rather than assembling them into file folders. This allows me to rotate activities easily and use them with several students throughout the week. They work wonderfully during small group instruction for academics, but I also use them to support structured behavior training, attention to task, and engagement during learning time. Because my autism classroom includes students functioning at many different levels, it is helpful to have activities that can be used successfully with such a wide range of learners. I especially appreciate that many of the skills practiced can support student IEP goals as well.
