I have a Private Facebook Group specifically designed for Self-Contained Special Education Teachers!

With this focus, I want to be able to support other SC educators to not feel like they’re on #specialeducationisland . Seriously. I’ve been there and done that.

I’ve been in your shoes. I was a newer teacher in a brand new school out of college. I had no idea what I was doing.

It was a miserable year for me. I talked to my co-worker and friend that was hired at the same time. So, here we were, us two new teachers fumbling our way through the school year. 

I was devastated, I thought I would love special education. 

I have wanted to be a special education teacher since 6th grade. This was my passion. I needed to be in special education.

This is why we need to be BETTER TOGETHER! We need to use social media to our advantage! Cue the Full SPED Ahead Support Group!

My passion is supporting other educators this has led me to start a website and blog and have since added a Mentorship Program!

In my first 4 years of teaching, I felt so alone. The lack of curriculum, administration support and daily tasks really had me worn down. I turned to social media and found inspiration to continue to grow and learn as an educator.
